kristi and i both have a weakness for vintage linens; it may have started when our mom inherited our spanish grandmother's cedar hope chest. it was chock full of fine old linens: dresser cloths, runners, tablecloths...there were embroidered pieces and pieces embellished with lace.
they were lovely and time worn, and we spent an afternoon drinking tea and sorting through them, and we each went home with a stack of things.
we were hooked.
we have recently found some really terrific embroidered items, which we have added to our online shop.teapots and teacups...
wonderful work in french knots...
gardens of flowers...
a bluebird...
and lots of crocheted lace.
we also have been busy hunting high and low to replenish our stash of hand made kitchen linens...crochet pot holders and doilies in cottage perfect colors.
these charming items are a favorite of mine to collect. i have my own private stash that i add to a piece at a time, but i also like to share so we will be adding quite a few of those to our boutique next week.
