there was a bit of rain over the weekend here in nevada county, and the weather turned breezy and cool.
we had a family dinner for my daughter's 24th birthday, and i collected what roses and flowers i could find to make this small bouquet.
all summer long, i have been drying petals and blooms which kristi has turned into potpourri.
i love my roses and will be sorry to see them go.
it feels as if summer is on its way out...
this morning when i left to run an errand, i found something surprising on my windshield...
it can't be!
leaves, turning already?
it seems that nature is displaying a split personality right now and can't decide what to do...
and while i will miss the roses of summer, i adore the autumn and look forward to all the color and coziness of that glorious season.

I love the transition but am hanging on for 8 more days. Your roses are simply beautiful.
