vintage french souvenir postcards

we recently acquired a cache of souvenir postcards from a trip to france made long ago.

we were excited to find these, as they are most likely from the late 1930s or 40s.

someone traveled far and wide throughout the country and visited a variety of places.

come along, as we tour:

we think these cards are wonderful...what a dreamy, exotic trip that must have been.

the cards were bought to keep as souvenirs: they have not been written upon and have been cherished in someone's drawer as mementos of that trip...perhaps a honeymoon? or a trip to celebrate a retirement?

these would be fabulous for altered and collage art. the paper has that genuine vintage patina that only the years can give.
